Chuck has been the Director of Tennis at the Decatur
Athletic Club since 1980. He has trained numerous sectional and national
level juniors, as well as four Illinois high school champions. He
currently serves as Head Coach of the Middle and Southern Illinois USTA
Competition Training Center, President of the Decatur Community Tennis
Foundation as well as tournament director of the USTA Men's $10,000
Futures stop in Decatur, Illinois. In 2006, Chuck was named Illinois
State Professional of the Year by the USPTA.
In 2007 he was named a member of the USTA Pro Circuit
Committe
Chuck has a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Human
Behavior at U.S. International University, San Diego 1980

As a player, he played professionally on U.S. and Swiss
satellite circuits. In 1998, he was a finalist at the USTA Men's 40
National Hardcourt Championships held in Tucson, Arizona, and was ranked
#5 nationally in that division.

Cory started teaching tennis at Gustavus
Adolphus College by teaching summers at the highly touted Tennis and
Life Camps from 1989-1991. He Then was the varsity and Junior
Varsity girl's assistant coach for LeSeur High School in Minnesota in
1991. Since then, Cory has been working at the Decatur Athletic club as a
tennis professional, where he has worked with kids and adults of all ages
and levels. He has worked with the Park District since 1993 with summer
lessons and had been the tournament director for the CI adult and Junior
tournaments for many years. He was the men's and women's head tennis
coach at Millikin University for the 2000\2001 year. He has been the
tennis director at the Country Club of Decatur since 2001. Cory was
MITA board member from 1999-2004 as well as the MITA Winter Grand Prix
Chairman from 1993-present. He has also had the privilege of being
the tennis director of the Illinois State Special Olympics in 2001.
Cory is also the racquet stringer for the Decatur Athletic Club having strung thousands of tennis racquet.
As a player: Cory has played tennis for the
Hutchinson High School and lettered three years. He went to state
in 1986. He played for the nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus
College and lettered three years.
